I was in fact right about Noble Knight slow-rolling several copies of Forcemaster and Warlord - and I nabbed one of the latter today! Still need several kits to close out playsets, but it's all stuff that's less rare so I'm not in a rush. I think I'm going for "full single playset" and skipping on doubles for novice cards - I'd like to be able to but it's not strictly necessary and gets expensive fast.

The MonPoc STLs are supposed to hit sometime this week so I've been on tenterhooks waiting for that. Gonna be visiting my brother this weekend, and he has a resin printer so I want to talk with him about getting these models printed and whether I should print or buy bases.

Foundry's set up and ready to go. Learning Agon right now, then I need to prep a Discord, send out invites, and figure out what the main course'll be. Might also take some time to prep a Lancer, 4e, and Blades world, just to say I have them done. Digging through modules is a lot of fun.

I looked at my PF1e collation files the other day, and it shouldn't be too bad; I mean, it's definitely going to be a bit of work, but sometimes it's felt like too much. I found a PDF-to-Text CLI program that can detect ligatures and I figured out how to concatenate its output files, so making base manuscripts should be a little cleaner now. I'm going to need to comb through my original collected file for entries to cut, and I think I'm going to curate the full list of veils a little more aggressively - I want to cut the Variant descriptor so I'll need to go through all those veils and pick which to keep. I'm also considering including the full text of Path of War and Expanded in the Initiating section to incorporate Errata, but I haven't settled on that yet.

Noble Knight has twice gotten restocks of MWA Forcemaster and Warlord in the last week, kits which I have only seen there a handful of times. I missed both times, but hopefully there are more. I really need a copy of the Warlord so I can close out a playset.

Guild Ball errata 4.7 dropped yesterday, and overall I'm pretty pleased with it. I still think True Replication on Hoist is a mistake, but it's less of one. Though it can still hit mascots so Mother wasn't un-nerfed. One other thing that annoyed me: new CP that makes a Forest AOE. I've reached out to Art of War to see if he can make something for that, but I have to imagine shipping to the US is going to be expensive and that's assuming this doesn't require a bunch of custom work.

Between Guild Ball, Monsterpocalypse, and Digimon I think I'm going to be doing another BGM run. Just need to assemble the tokens I want for Digimon, wait for the Monpoc downloads to drop, and download the errataed GB cards. Since Monpoc uses big cards for the Monsters and there are only two of them in this first drop, I'm considering redoing all my GB stat cards as one-sided. I'm not 100% on that - need to see how many large sleeves I have spare - but this may be the right opportunity.

I'm working on preparing a new game group - we're going to play Agon as an icebreaker, then switch to either Girl by Moonlight or Avatar Legends. I've been entertaining myself with Foundry prep, but so far that's just been "troubleshooting why I can't remote to my Oracle instance" and listing the modules I may want to download.

Once I'm through with the Foundry work, I may finally buckle down for that Pathfinder 1e third-party collation project I've been sitting on. It's just a lot of text formatting to get through. I won't be able to finish it until later this year regardless - waiting on the release of a PF1e Warlock class - but I could at least have the bulk of it in manuscript format by then I bet. Just need to start making myself use evenings.

Seems like a good time to do one of my periodic updates.

Guild Ball is back! Or at least, models are available again, this time in the form of POD. Hopefully that means SFG will avoid the supply-and-warehousing woes that did the game in back in 2020. I had already collected the whole range, less some LEs, so I haven't purchased anything yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this develops. Meantime, I have some painting to do - I have some general-use tokens and widgets I never got around to painting, and I'm going to finish up some Falconers pieces, and maybe some Cooks terrain for games with a friend. After that I think I'm aiming for Fish and Cogs.

Hellboy's almost done! I'd like to make some different target priority tokens for a few characters, as I found better artwork, but for the most part it's complete. Now I just need to paint it…

Other Collections! I got in the last Mage Wars item I needed for a playset - one final copy of Academy Forcemaster. Now, technically, it's not a complete playset, as I have fewer copies of Equipment and Legendary/Unique cards, though those are rarely played to full. I need to put together a list of what I'd want to get a hold of if I were aiming for literal complete. There are a couple things I might get extras of anyways, too - it'd be nice to have extra game pieces or rulebooks from a few of the sets. I also preordered some games and books for various collections, and I'm considering getting another volume or two for my Hellboy TPB run.

More Digimon! I bought EX5 and I'm still waiting on some of its slush, bankrolled by some sold Magic cards. I ordered a pair of BT15 boxes too, should be shipping out tomorrow. This one blessedly has fewer box-topper promos, so hopefully filling the slush is much less costly. I want to do a token card refesh too, we'll see how it shakes out.

Kickstarters! My Loreweaver GM screen and backpack arrived last weekend. I'm pretty happy with 'em. Don't know when I'll get to put the screen to use.

RPGs! Speaking of, I still need to knuckle down and get Iron Gods prepped to where I can start playing it again. I've been thinking of getting up extra early, to fit in an hour or two of painting or writing before starting my mornings, and this would be the first dragon I'd want to slay. I am decidedly not a morning person though…

I recently ordered the remaining in-print Academy stuff I didn't have; two copies each of Druid, Elementalist, Monk, and Necromancer. The package arrived today and of course it's only a single copy of each. I've messaged Arcane Wonders, hopefully I'll get this addressed quickly. It's not as if I'm playing any time soon but it's still disappointing that I have to wait even longer.

Our tax return came in really quickly this year. I'm using most of my share on debt, but I did buy some computer monitors, a docking station, and attendant accessories. I'm finally going to have my perfect desk setup; plenty of screen real-estate, a clear desktop, and a quick and easy way to switch between my work and personal computers without moving a ton of cables around.

Looking forward, I'm hoping to be able to get BT11 at or near release, and I might want to get printed copies of the Academy Forcemaster and Warlord. Not committing to either, though; Joc and I are trying to hold each other responsible for nonessential purchases, so both will require a talk first. Of the two I'm more focused on Digimon.

In other games, my hobby focus for the foreseeable future is going to be on finalizing my Pathfinder house rules document, so I can move on to transcribing my Iron Gods game and actually play it for once. I'm incorporating a lot of third-party Akashic material, and a good chunk of it is revisions to Akashic Mysteries itself. Consequently I've decided to just lift over most of the book and collect it as "Ultimate Akashic", in the same vein as Dreamscarred's Ultimate Psionics. Particularly, this'll let me rename the base classes and scrub off AM's ill-advised layer of orientalist paint. I might even release it as a PWYW on DriveThru. I'm not quite solid on that yet, though. Most of it would be reprinted rules from other works, which seems rude even if permissible by OGL. For another, I'd be taking a heavy editorial hand to that content, modifying or cutting things I don't like - whether because I think they're thematically incoherent, redundant, poorly written, or excessively overdesigned. It might be Ultimate Akashic at my table, but that title might come across as a bit pretentious in the wider community. Also, putting in the work to catalog my changes and get Section 15 properly filled out doesn't seem especially rewarding. We'll see.

I ordered some Mage Wars items a few weeks ago, so now I have the full Arena line less Domination. I want to aim for a playset, and honestly I'm mostly there; just missing a few single cards. Of course they're spread between several sets so it wouldn't be trivial to get them all - mostly some class-restricted cards and equipment. Also my Druid spellbook had a tear; I repaired it but it kinda sticks in my craw. Need to run an inventory, see what I have to buy to get it finished. Not that I'm going to do it any time soon, and that's completely neglecting the Academy stuff I don't yet have. Still, good to have an idea.
